Vital Stats:
 This is the tenth NZFC meeting between Manawatu and Wellington in Palmerston North. The home side has won three of these matches – the biggest win a 5-0 triumph in 2007. The heaviest defeat for Manawatu was an 8-0 loss in the 2007-08 season.

  Resurgent Wellington have won three of their last four matches. Wellington’s last win over Manawatu in Palmerston North was a 4-0 victory in 2008.
